CNC Mill/Turn Setter/Operator Nightshift
Bowmill Poole is currently seeking a CNC Mill Turn Setter Operator to join our growing aerospace engineering team on a night shift basis. This role is ideal for a fully skilled machinist with experience using FANUC controls and a strong background in precision manufacturing.
Join Our Night Shift Team as a CNC Mill Turn Setter Operator in Aerospace Engineering
As a CNC Mill Turn Setter Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC mill/turn lathes using FANUC control systems. You will produce precision-engineered components in line with detailed customer drawings and strict aerospace standards.
In this role, the CNC Mill Turn Setter Operator will carry out in-process inspection and ensure all work meets SPC and quality requirements. Attention to detail is essential, as you will be inspecting your own work and maintaining consistently high standards.
Working on nights, you will also be expected to maintain a clean and organised workspace in line with 5S/5C principles. A strong engineering mindset and the ability to work independently are important for success for this role.
To be considered for this position, you should have completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering and have solid hands-on machining experience. Experience with Nakamura machines and bar feed systems would be an advantage, but not essential as training can be provided where needed.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are confident using FANUC controls and have previous experience in the aerospace sector. A reliable and proactive approach will be key to doing well in this role and maintaining the standards expected on the night shift.
